REPAIR

Repair of all types of range cookers/boilers undertaken; please call me to discuss what type of appliance and what is needed for a no obligation Quote.

SERVICE

All range cookers require routine servicing and maintenance to ensure that they are operating safely and efficiently.

• Gas appliances require an annual service.
• Oil fired appliances require a 6 monthly service.
• Oil Pressure jet fired cookers and boilers require a annual service

If you are not sure on the length of time your cooker/boiler needs between services then please ring.

When arranging your routine service the appliance needs to be turned off (usually the day before) so that it is cool. A hot cooker/boiler can not be serviced correctly.

During a service some of the following will be carried out dependant on model and fuel.

1. Check operation of controls and components.
2. Clean burners and internal flue ways.
3. Inspect rope seals and gaskets replace if necessary.
4. Confirm correct fuel rates and or gas pressures.
5. Check for gas soundness.
6. Visual checks of fuel supplies and storage.
7. Test safety devices.
8. Flue flow test and spillage.
9. Flue system and ventilation.
10. Insulation levels, operation of doors and lids

Once I have serviced your appliance you will be entered onto my database and I will contact you when the next service is due, be it annually or 6 months.
